Web design VS print design
Current Mood : Upset
Currently listening To: Before the World Began - Hillsong
Honestly I never knew there could be so so so so much difference between print design and web design. But after completing the class presentations today, I felt I have learnt a whole lot more about both sets of designs, their various types of similarities and also the differences.
Personally I focused more on the production of the web design and print design, meaning to say my main purpose was to focus on the 'design' of both publications. Initally thinking that I covered a rather good scope, I was soon proven wrong as the other presentations by other students took place.
There was this entirely broader dimension about the said topic that I had yet to explore, and probably could have fared better if I did. Still it was really interesting to be able to understand a little bit more about the topic from the other group members, so overall the experience was a pretty great eye opener. Some members had really nice powerpoint layouts too so I learnt a lot from that aspect as well.
Thank goodness my sense of color coordination made a somewhat come back today. I think my page layouts were pretty alright, some I liked enormously such as the typography page. Some I think I should just go bury myself haha.
The only thing that I was sorry about is the fact that I talked my head off during my presentation a bit too much till I nearly lost direction on the way. There were some bits of information that I felt I should have included but was unable to, because my brain was working in fast mode. Happens whenever there is a time-limit pressure. I tend to worry I can't say everything I want to say and hence I sped up my talking pace and that probably lost some students too.
