I am not the type to read stranger's blog - lest it was Kenny Sia. Half the time, I don't even read blogs belonging to people I know. So when a friend sent me a link over msn messenger one fine night claiming that it was a great blog read, I was skeptical as to if I should 'waste' my time on it.

Had better things to do, I thought.

I was doing my assignments then, and needing a break I allowed myself to get distracted. I clicked on the link. Now I think I just found my favorite place on the internet for an enjoyable read. Sorry Kenny

Waiterrant.net

I'm rather at lost for words as to describe this blog. Its a mixture of everything I love. I love the way his blog posts are writte, that smooth flow of English in a style I can only admire in awe. I love his witty humor and sarcasm which gives me much delight and laughter. I love how he, the author of this blog potrays reality without a mask. He is straight forward in telling it like it is, no cover ups, and not being sorry for it. I love how he shares intellectual thoughts with us blogreaders.

I especially enjoy how we get to see waiters in a different point of views - in a more human perspective. To us customers, we see them as 'nobody'. People is just there, as we expect them to be, to serve on us. We don't remember their names or their faces, we don't care. We don't give a second thought about how their days are or how their lives are going. We forget to be curteous to them as we are to others.

After I initially began to read the blog, my respect goes to many unsung heroes in our lives. People who just briskly walk into our lives, and with the same swiftness dissapears again into the background.

Also, there are certain blog posts in Waiterrant.net that has left me thinking furiously on many sleepless nights. Especially one entitled Legion. Though I am not Christian by faith, I found this particular post highly intriguing and inspiring.... I doubt that was the right word to use, however I can't seem to find any suitable vocab right now. It made me think alot, more so tonight as I complete this post.... as I've encountered some personal problems of my own.

Thinking about it gave me comfort. In a way, I am glad I came across this blog. There's still a lot more to read...............

I'm so glad the internet was invented, and that Web2.0 exists.
