distracted

Current Mood : Distracted
Currently listening To: Mutterings in the class

Somehow, it is seemingly impossible to even attempt to complete any major tasks in class. Despite it being a total waste of an hour half of my life every day in class, I would not be able to find the inspiration or the motivation to work. So unless it's a minor assignment, like say blogging for the course blog, or completing something along that line of 'important but not immediately important'... I would rarely get anything done by maximizing the usage of class time.

Tsk

A total waste, yes. I suppose that is just how I work. Or don't work. Whichever term that works.

Probably due to my picky and somewhat solitary nature, I have the tendency to perform faster and work better in a darker, less crowded space. If I were at home or anywhere private which has minimal noise effects, I would then require music to cure my habit of needing to multitask. I can concentrate with only specific types of distractions hovering around me. Being in class is definately not one of them.

So what gives?

I make up for it at night, or during lunch breaks in college. Those are the two prime times where I finding working can be an addictive joy, especially if there is food and snacks around to sustain my drive. These are the times where I rarely stop unless I was being forced to, or when fatigue has finally taken its toll on me. Which, again has been rather frequent lately.

I probably need more exercise now, since the feeling of constant lethargic-ness has been looming.

Now that we have a website project under construction which is due rather too soon, time seems to be flying ever so fast. Before I could get a grip on the movement of time, today is already Thursday. Oh wow, like that is pretty freaky. There is not much time for delays now, as there are too many ideas swirling around in my head it's driving me dizzy. Ideas that come at odd times, but usually ones that never appear during ComTech. Being in class actually tends to drain my train of thoughts into nothing-ness. It could be when I'm on the road, or when I listen to a particular music or watching a particular design, just not during ComTech. The only problem I have is transfering ideas into the darn project. Like I roughly know how I want it, I just don't know how to make it happen.

I always lack the know-hows on that particular portion.

Now what?

Die lo.... what to do? Do slowly lo....

Since it's not like I have a choice, right? Have to start learning from scratch, practise and learn along the way. Hopefully my skills are not as blunt as I fear them to be. I could probably produce something rather decent if I were to try hard enough.

*gulps*

I hope....

EVIL KFC!!!

Current Mood : Disgusted
Currently listening To: My guilt conscience

After tonight, I don't think I can ever bite on another piece of Kentucky Fried Chicken anymore X___x

I can't believe I am a self admited lover / loyal fan of KFC. Compared to all the fast food chains, I have always had a better preference for KFC because I do love chicken meat. Now I think I am going to be sick.

Mass production of poultry is SO disgusting and inhumane.

Why aren't these people just rounded up and tortured to death or something? Isn't there some animal rights organization powerful enough in the eyes of the law to take justice into their own hands? Look at how they throw the chickens into the cages! What kind of sick human being could do such a thing and not feel for the chickens? If I had my way I'd throw their children into playpens the same way too. Hmph! See how they like it then.

Even if we do eat meat, the animals sacrificed for our appetites should be killed fast and painless, with dignity... this is just wrong. It's not even part of any silly culture that holds blood sacrifices in great importance. Like the Muslim culture where the animals have to be bled to death by the neck before it is deemed Halal. It's KFC for God's sake! There's no friggin culture in it!

Fast food chains are e-v-i-l O______O;;

There's so many more of such videos on Youtube, not only of chickens but of other domestic and edible animals too... I just can't bring myself to watch it.

Sometimes, technologies can be such a blessing in disguise. (Yes despite me just hating it yesterday morning) I found this link on Youtube through a friend who was promoting it through MSN Messenger. Tonight I do my part for PETA by linking it in both my blogs, my Facebook and shoving the video into the faces of everyone I know =(

And the machines in the video that is used to prepare the chickens? See now that is technology gone EVIL.

Evil.

Evil.

Stupid net connection

Current Mood : Hungry
Currently listening To: Pirelli's Miracle Elixir - Sweeney Todd

My laptop's net connection had died for approximately 2 days. It was so stressful! There was so much work to be done that needed online research, I had little time on my hands and my net connection chose these hour to die on me.

I don't quite know the cause of it, as the laptop could detect the wireless networks at home, as well as everyone else home (there's like, 20 over wireless networks here hurhur) but it could not connect no matter what. For 2 days straight I've tried everything relentlessly.

Checked the firewalls, the anti virus programs, the internet connection. Nothing. I tried re-connecting time and again. Still nothing.

I begged my older brother for help, but he's such a dear so it didn't take much begging =) Plus I'm so glad that he's always around to help with the tech stuff cause I can be such a noob sometimes. I have this amazing capability to just freak out when something goes wrong.

In the end we both gave up, not knowing what the problem was. We're probably clicked on every button and icon there was to click on the laptop just to find the source of the problem. Then big brother told me to just try switching off the main modem and on again, just to tempt our luck.

Holy mackerel it worked!

Like. That was all it took? After all that pain and agony and wasted time, that was all it took?! Note the jaw-dropping effects this had on me. You must be kidding me. It was like some kind of bad joke being played, even though it brought great relief in the end anyway. I broke into a pained laughter.
What a waste of efforts T____T

Then life continued as usual. Now I can head on and complete my work.

The official conclusion is that sometimes things like this just happens. It's probably the heavy rain thats been pouring lately that tampered with the wireless connections. Whatever it is, I'm just glad that the problem wasn't the laptop itself, as I would have probably cried myself to death =/

I hate technologies sometimes.

Can't live with them. Can't live without them.
