Photoshop brush

So I've been doing lots of Ed-board layout-ing lately, which means there's been alot of Photoshopping activities. Even though when I first signed up I was reassured I didn't have to do layouting... I have been tricked!

From a total Photoshop noob I have now gotten extremely addicted to finding beautiful photoshop brushes online and inserting them in my layoutsssss~~~

So much love! so much love!!!!!~~

I have found the joys in using Adobe Photoshop. Previously I totally loathed it because it felt so hard to use! Well it is still abit confusing sometimes, but its not that bad now 8D I even edited a lecturer's photo to get rid of the dark spots and eye-bags, but I'm not going to say who~~

I don't know how to master it yet la actually, mostly all I do is go clickity clickity click and voila! Some randomly decent looking layout is born. Well, thats because TMC hasn't taken a look at them yet. I bet he'd go into rejection trauma once he lays eyes on my work =(

Perfectionists are so hard to please sometimes.

Ah... So much love for those lovely brushes. I wonder if I can use them for the website we need to design for our current TGJ4M project....

Ahh.. but all the brushes are so beautiful and feminine, it doesn't go well with the theme la...

I guess I'll just have to continue hunting for good brushes? 8D

Among some of the goodsites to find photoshop brushes are listed below. Go ahead and get addicted today!

Text Twirl

Facebook can be the ultimate boredom killer sometimes 8D

There's this new application that a friend sent a while back but I only gave notice to it yesterday, its called Text Twirl. So basically its a game application on Facebook where they give you a number of jumbled up alphabets and the player is supposed to make up as many words as possible based on it. Its an old game yes, but its so darn addictive!!!!

It is so totally my top favorite application on Facebook now.

Its not one of those mindless games with no additional benefits either, because this game challenges your English vocabulary and quick thinking skills as well as your ability to pick up words (which needs eyes and finger coordination). It motivates one to increase our vocab sense highly.

So far its been frustrating for me. =D As a person who have more or less always been assured, and somewhat proud of my range of vocabulary and good English command, I found myself heavily challenged by this game. Its so weird, since its simple game with simple rules, but it is definitely not something that can be easily conquered.

Oh, I believe I have gotten Alex hooked on it as well. *smiles*

At one point while walking to the car after class, I contemplated with the urge to go home and read through the dictionary to read up possible words for the game. Its insane, I know. But there is this pride in my English strength that can be so stubborn sometimes. XD

LimeWire

Current Mood : Amused
Currently listening To: Teardrops on My Guitar - Taylor Swift

Lately I've started to use LimeWire to get my music.

So far it's been going great, as I have found many songs I wanted rather easily. The high transfer rate is such an added bonus. Relatively safe from malicious spyware and idiotic users (like Bearshare, ugh!) I think I can get comfortable using LimeWire.

I wonder what took me so long.

I have always held doubt for peer-to-peer platforms as they can be vulnerable as well as dangerous at the same time. Countless times have I had to suffer trojans and spywares cruising around in my system files, crashing my hardrive as they go along. Bearshare is one of those really crappy programs that everyone would be better off staying away from. Not to mention the insane amount of porn one could find in there... ew. Can't say that LimeWire is absolutely free from all that, but it is in a better controlled environment.

And it's just fast!!

Thanks to Alex for sharing the LimeWire program with me, as well as donating all the lovely songs I wanted from your laptop.

For those who would like to try out LimeWire, check out www.limewire.com

Mr. A was right on the spot. Well, halfway anyway.

He said that despite everything, we would actually love the process of making the music video. Initially I would have wholeheartedly disagreed, but now I bite my tongue back in second thoughts.

Indeed, it had been fun. More so for us as we had 3 groups supporting each other. We did a huge chunk of scenes together, complimenting each other with camera works and workable ideas. We drove those who did not have the luxury of having a vehicle to their respective locations.

That's why you see me in all three music videos, all wearing the same clothes. Haha =)

Alex and Maggie, Bilale and Mohammad, Marshal and myself. It had been a blast. Had it not been for this assignment, I very much doubt we could have bonded so well. Or ever have dinner together at Subway. These small little things are the ones that makes every minute spent on the assignment well worth it. The laughter especially.

Personally, I think we need to do quite a few revamping on our music video, the concept and context. After watching the preview of the other group members, awe had swept me off my feet and left me horrible disappointed with our own work. Surely we could do better....

I mentioned that Mr. A was only halfway right. That's because the editing part has been most agonizing. A beautiful song has now been condemned to music hell simply because I have heard it one too many times, too closely.

I'm so glad we chose a song Marshal loved, and not something I do. I'd rather not risk hating my song selections, as they are all very much the lovely and extremely good for my soul.

Consistently inconsistent

So I have not been blogging as regularly as I should have been. I can probably come up with a ridiculously long list of reasons/excuses as to why this had happened, or rather is happening right now, but it would not make a scratch of a difference. The fact remains I am slowly, but surely lagging behind in blog posts. =(

Today I am going to make up for the entire last week's portion, definitely making sure this week's worth is well wrapped too.

In class yesterday (just to remain politically correct, as it's past 12am now) Mr. A talked about our blogs and how even our consistency plays a part in achieving high marks. Naturally, the guilt feeling that has been reeling in me decided to have an on the spot panic attack. I have not been as enthusiastic about the blog as in the beginning, I must admit. But at least I get my work done. Somewhat.

What happens then, if you're consistently inconsistent? 8D

That should account for something right?

The thoughts of the upcoming so called mini project is intimidating. I realize that I do not possess the design and concept creativity as other people do. The truth can be so harsh. Its difficult when so much as at stake for me at this moment. That creativity (as well as the ability to make it happen) accounts for a whole lot when it comes to this course. See, I can't even be creative when it comes to blogging. Feels more and more like a personal rant box by the day.

I still look forward to it, the project, as I look forward to other little things in life. Like graduating.

Its come to a point in my CIMP life where I just want to complete all the final projects and ISUs, graduate with pride and passion, take a mighty long deserving break, and proceed to spread my wings down 50meters to Monash.

To be able to do that I have to survive another 5 weeks.

It is like a bloody obstacle course.

With what little time I have for my own, I have been on a constant self-reflecting mode. Listening to soft music in the background, just trying to drain the stress away. People have questioned my sanity in taking up ComTech, probably more had expressed regret. Words spoken out of anger, overwhelming stress and fearful intimidation. I have had my fair share. Though in the end I suppose regret is too strong a word to describe it. Because I don't hate the course. I don't regret it always.

I know I will be grateful for the things I have learnt in the end.

We always will learn to be grateful one day for things we never understood back then.
