FUCKING UP

Current Mood : Lost / Depressed
Currently listening To: Speed Over Beethoven - DDR

This is so not my week when it comes to Comtech.

The past week have been such a crazy blur I have not been doing anything right. At all. I wonder if it's the constant pain I'm having now that's distracting me so much. I'm not thinking straight or right, clearly my judgments are being clouded. I should be awarded "the blurest/careless student" medal or something. Or, I should just go jump off a cliff now. That sounds so much better.

Comtech

It's getting harder than I initially would have liked to think. Suddenly everything is moving all at once on a very furious note to me. I need to pace up my adaption level before I serious fall behind.

Because I already am falling.

I found that I've been making mistakes one after the other a whole lot lately. My article review that was not re-posted to Turnitin when I thought it was, my Job Flyer that I passed up in the wrong area of Black Board. Those were still pretty minor (even though no less upsetting since I have no marks now =<), as compared to what I realized next. My brain needs reassessment. I don't know why, but I think sub-cautiously I have been taking things waaaaaaaayyyyy too literally for my own good, without using logic. We were supposed to make a job flyer of our own. We were supposed to go online and find for a suitable job along with its descriptions. We *obviously* were supposed to edit the descriptions to make it into our own text. I am such a simple minded idiot. Idiotic me decided that I would conveniently forget that point and went ahead to cut and paste the descriptions. I wonder what was I thinking at that time. Or why was I not thinking. It surprises me how, through out the entire production of the flyer, and many editing of the text space and all, it did not even occur to me that my actions were that of plagiarism. *headdesk*

oh. I suck.

I need to settle this with Mr.Avila on Monday, or as soon as possible. I need to get my peace of mind back. I swear my heartbeat stopped a very long time when I read my assessment mail. And see if I can get my record cleaned. Haha =/ I have no justifications for my actions now that will not sound like an excuse. All I can say is that it was not done on purpose. and it will NEVER happen again. Once bitten, forever shy.

Now I'm waiting for my Proposal Feedback to load. It's taking very..... very.... long. I just hope that it isn't going to be anymore bad news. I don't think my heart can handle it anymore.

I hope you're not too disappointed with your dumb student yet Mr.Avila. =/

Insomnia?

Current Mood : Sickly
Currently listening To: Scream - Exile X Glay

I feel groggy.

All those mandarin oranges..... oooh gawds I think I may have mandarin orange phobia now. I wonder if there is a term for it. I tried Googling my curiosity out, but so far the nearest I got to fear of oranges is "esperidoeidiphobia", which is actually the fear of citrus fruit. Aww... but I still like lemon and grapes! Let this be a stern reminder to myself that gambling with mandarin oranges is suicidal. 8DDD

Due to my stomach pangs as a result of tangerine overdose I had to skip the entire day of college today. I was worried about driving, didn't think it was worth having an accident mishap on the way to college in such a shitty shape. Now. I feel. so. left behind. Not to mention ridden with guilt.

This added with my current insomniac situation isn't exactly a pretty sight to behold. So now I had to figure out why I couldn't sleep peacefully too. Let us all hail Google for my discovery. I came across an online article : Your Cellphone May Be What's Keeping You Up At Night by Gina Hughes. Yes because I too sleep with my cellphone by my side from time to time. More often lately due to personal reasons - my alarm clock has busted and I needed a temporary replacement. 8D

According to the news article, some unknown Universities which name shall constantly elude my memory has done some research and concluded that the radiation from your handset can cause insomnia, headaches, and prevent you from going into a deep sleep. (Hughes) This discovery thus led the researchers to believe that the radiation emitted disrupts the body's ability to produce melatonin Whatever that is, bet its not good news anyway and activates the brain's stress system, making your more alert throughout the night. (Hughes)

It is also recommended that one avoid talking on the cellphone at least one hour before going to bed.

But how is that possible? Let's say if I receive an urgent call late at night when I am already sleepy.... does that mean I have to force myself to stay awake for another hour before heading to slumberland? Then what's the point since either way I won't be able to sleep anyway.

I wonder if my cellphone, this tiny little harmless looking gadget, could be the cause of my sleepless nights? It's hard to believe really. Then again, why not? If you can believe invisible looking microorganisms such as virus can cause Cancer and eventually death, why can't you believe that cellphones can cause sleepless nights and eventually death too =________=;;

Alvin and the Chipmunk

Current Mood : Sleepy~
Currently listening To: Dethharmonic - Dethlok

Tonight I realized that listening to Alvin and the Chipmunks while completing assignments is very motivational. 8DDDDDDDDD

Although there is only a certain limit as to how long I can take the high pitch chipmunk singing. I remember during Christmas last year I literally drove my family -especially mum- up the wall with their hit song Christmas Don't Be Late looping on the p.c constantly. It was either that, or I would try mimicking the song in that very pitch everywhere I went. I just loved the song's chorus.

So I went poking around the net to find out how exactly were the humanly impossible voices of Alvin, Theodore and Simon recorded.

The Chipmunks' voices were recorded onto audiotape by voice talent talking or singing at half the normal speed. When the tape was played back at double speed, they would sound a full octave higher in pitch, at normal tempo. That was how they did it way back when. Now the same effect can be created digitally and in real time. With the popularity of the show, came the term "chipmunk-voiced" that had entered the American vernacular to describe any artificially high-pitched voice.

Another easier but possibly dangerous method would be to simply inhale helium and start talking. The only problem is you really go crackers XD Hence one cannot perform voice recording sessions optimally I guess? haha.... I like helium voices....singing with helium induced voices makes people's braincells explode one-by-one.

The show is not the pioneer in using such a technique to create artificially high pitched voices, nor is the show the only one utilizing it. Many cartoons and comedies, music videos even uses this technique to further enhance creativity and personality into the respective works. A few common examples includes Daffy Duck, Donald Duck (I really hate Donald's voice cause it really hurts my eardrums with it's splitting high pitch squeelings), the Lonely Song.... I don't remember what's it called anymore...

It went something like : Lonely, I am so lonely, I have nobody.... I'm all on my own~ woo yea~

Kinda like that. yes I have nothing interesting to write anymore DDDDDD8

Ah. I'm sleepy now. Therefore I shall retire this instant. I had such a long day today. Was so sleepy for all my classes, I amazed myself for being able to pull it through right to the end of Student Council's meeting! I have managed to once again procrastinate my work to another day.

New Layout

Due to sheer extreme boredom and my awesome procrastinating skills I have once again changed my blog skin. Probably still a little kinks here and there, but it'll work for now.

This baby here, Final Fantasy XIII Versus is officially my Version 2.0. Much thanks to the creator of the skin!!! You are so awesome you deserve strawberry flavored candies forever! The skin is that of the game of the same name, and it's scheduled to be released on the PS3 soon <3 I am already in love with the game before it is even released. The trailer is just so overwhelming! It's gorgeous! And the main character....*gasp*..... Excuse me while I have my fangirling moment.

*squeel*

I'll die a happy person the day I finish this game. Oh yes~

It's 4.36am as I type this, finishing off my minor alterations to the skin and adding in tags and whatnots. Actually I was surfing the blogs of other TGJ4M students to find inspiration on what else I could blog about when I noticed Mr.Avila actually commenting on some of them. I just remembered I didn't have a comments section for my previous page so I had to add that in as well.

I need to make a mental note to ask Mr.Avila as to what counts as a proper blog entry. =/ Like, does this count? Because even though I am blogging it is not related to Comtech. Which means that my first post shouldn't count either if this doesn't, right? And what happens to us if we don't keep our posts.... no wait. Actually I don't want to know that. =A=;;;;

Still either way right now I have more than enough of the required blog posts that was mandated to us prior to the holidays.

I think.

Does ranting about iPhone count too? haha~ My posts has been more on the personal side lately. My biased opinion kind of takes a huge chunk in each post, is that alright too? Or does my opinion not matter =<

Oh Fudge! I need to stop thinking so much..... I should just go to sleep now. But I can't. I knew drinking that can of Coke was a stupid idea. Now I am overly sugar induced. Therefore I can't sleep. And I have guest coming over later..... probably am going to greet them with baggy eyes and half awake braincells. 8D
